J Sol is a superb, top-of-the-line apartment complex located in the heart of Arlington. I’ve been here for two years now, and I can’t say enough about how great it is. The concierge staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, and the leasing professionals are also top-notch. I especially want to give a special mention to Patrick Huff, whose second day of work at J Sol was the day that I walked in inquiring about leasing. Patrick, along with the maintenance and concierge staff, always responded to my questions and concerns in a timely manner.

We can enjoy the rooftop pool during the summer. It’s wonderful that we can swim not only when the sun is shining, but also as it sets in the evening and night. The sight of the pool sparkling in the twilight and lights adds a romantic touch. The equipment and water are very clean, and the lifeguards are incredibly kind. It’s a great place to invite our friends and share the fun of this pool. I absolutely love it!

After moving in during May 2024, I found the staff to be cordial and helpful, the amenities to be superb, the cleanliness to be outstanding, noise levels to be low, and the apartment itself to be well suited to my needs. I highly recommend an apartment with a balcony and on a higher floor because the views are stunning, especially when you can go outside and feel the wind. The rooftop pool, terrace, and general purpose conglomeration room give outstanding views of the surrounding area. You can see Washington Monument off in the distance while utilizing the exercise facility. All around my stay here has been excellent.

The concierge service is probably my favorite aspect of living here (outside of the amenities, of course!). It’s great knowing we have someone available 24/7 to help us with whatever we need and to accept packages on our behalf. Having the maintenance staff in the building at all times is great, even though I haven’t had to use them outside of working hours, because I know if there is an issue they are quite responsive and friendly.

The location is just perfect, with easy access to public transportation and a variety of fantastic restaurants and shops in the area. We’ve lived at J Sol two years and loved our time here—the apartment style, floor plan, location (near Ballston shops and restaurants, only a block or two for metro or various easy bus connections), and the staff. Concierge and maintenance staff are responsive and friendly, always accessible. Management and leasing staff are so helpful and personable. We’ve enjoyed the amenities—especially rooftop relaxing with good views of DC: the fireworks on the 4th were great. The lifeguard at the pool— and later the maintenance staff—were so sweet once helping find my grandson‘s toy caught in the pool filter. One little interaction, but why this has felt like ‘home’ not just an apartment. The apartment design and quality were top of dozens in this area I toured before renting. Maintenance and cleaning staff keep up the common areas constantly. A few fixes have been minor and addressed quickly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend J Sol, or to move back.

Great building with modern finishes and sleek clean look. Amenities are the best I have seen in this area (Ballston-Virginia Square-Clarendon-Court House) and I couldn't be happier with living here. Maintenance is extremely attentive and diligent whenever there is an issue and the common spaces are kept clean. I really have nothing negative to say about living at J-Sol.

J sol is an amazing place to live: beautiful building, friendly people, safe environment, great amenities, etc. However, there is no place for visitors to park. It’s very difficult to have people come enjoy your apartment since the building has absolutely no guest parking available, which has become more of an issue than one would think.

Overall it's been great. 2 Biggest complaints are the elevators being out all the time, and the lack of a 45lb barbell in the weight room ( the current one is 15kg which is like 33lbs and makes working out awkward).

Very modern and clean building. The walls and windows are sound-proofed quite well against noise from neighbors and traffic. Staff are friendly and helpful. The gym is large and well-equipped, and the pool is usually available during the summer.

The JSOL property is beautiful. The location is perfect. I love my apartment’s view from the balcony. The sense of community is awesome and the social events each month are fun & engaging. The Staff is responsive in a timely manner and very friendly as they continue to help facilitate and foster resident friendships, and meaningful communication which makes you feel right at home.

Great building, great location and great staff. Neighbors can come and go but the staff really sets the building atmosphere. As a lawyer for many landlords in the area, I can affirm that this is a GREAT staff from the door people to maintenance staff and the rental/admin staff. All are personable and want residents to enjoy the place where we live. Really can't say enough positive about the living experience.

So far I have enjoyed my experience at J Sol. I love the community and the amenities. I love being able to relax on the rooftop, get a nice workout in at the gym, and having a 24-hour receptionist to help with any immediate needs. I do wish that the rules/guidelines regarding guests would loosen up, as many people like to live in a building like this to host guests and utilize the space. Other than that, I do not have any complaints and would definitely recommend!

The building is beautiful and every one who works here has been very helpful. There are a few things that are irritating - the key fobs are weak, the trash chutes are always blocked and not working, and the counter tops are porous. Cabinet space also isn’t fabulous. Otherwise it’s a very nice building and living here has been great.

The amenities in the building are great, I have had some difficulties with the leasing office every once in a while. Sometimes my neighbor is a little too noisy those dogs

Wonderful building, clean halls, fantastic appliances. One drawback is the trash chute system needs improvements. Also would be amazing to have the rooftop and pool open in April!

Management is responsive and really tries to find resident activities even during COVID. The noise level still leaves something to be desired (still have no idea what sounds like a whale wailing all the time around midnight/1am), but overall this apartment was worth it!

Everyone is incredibly friendly. Management is responsive. Concierges are welcoming. I really enjoy living in this apartment building, and I look forward to the warmer days when I will be able to experience some of the outdoor amenities.

Great experience so far, the leasing staff is more than accommodating. The building is beautiful and clean! We are looking forward to the pool and amenity space on the top floors to be open.

Front desk people are kind and easygoing . The flooring is made of concrete so, it helps to the noise not go through to the apartment below. Kitchen shelves are mostly easy to clean but easy to get dirty too if you choose in white

Beautiful brand new apartment building in Ballston with great move in specials. Apartments are stylish and modern. A few growing pains though as expected with a new building. Beautiful amenities that are under constructions but should hopefully be done soon.

We moved in almost 2 months ago now and have loved this apartment since! First and foremost, the staff are extremely friendly and go above and beyond! We’ve had good experience with maintenance, package pick up, and the amenity spaces. Would highly recommend.

We are very happy with the JSOL so far. The staff have been very friendly. The period of growing pains is over in adjusting to a new building for the residents and staff alike. Only concern is a bit of noise from the Kohler units, even when the windows are closed. Looking forward to the spring when we can use the pool.

Very happy so far, especially with attentive and kind staff that has been very respectful of covid precautions. Portal is easy to use as well, after some of the initial problems were resolved.

My experience here has been absolutely wonderful! From the management team being extremely helpful and completely transparent to the move-in process being a breeze, this complex has been a pleasure to live in so far. Also, the concierge desk is always super friendly, which is nice when heading out in the morning or getting back at night.

The concierge team has been amazing through all this construction and everyone moving in at the same time (in addition to covid-19). The leasing team has also been responsive although it seems like they've been bombarded with people who want to tour and sign leases.

Marcel and I absolutely love living here and so does our dog! It’s brand new and has beautiful features, love the chevron backsplash tile in the kitchen. Can’t wait for the pool and gym to be finished, beautiful view from the amenities lounge on the top floor. Seriously couldn’t be happier here.
